The ONLY thing you can count on with Michigan weather is that you WILL be surprised! It was the middle of December, soggy and dreary…. where is our snow?!?! But we decided to go out and make the best of what is probably the last of our warm(ish) days. Plus get some use out of those adorable Hello Kitty rain boots before the clunky snow boots come into play. \

I never get enough of this girl.   L.O.V.E.

What a beautiful day, what a beautiful bride. I am so honored I was asked to share your special day.

Congratulations Brad and Ashley!

This was such a warm and fuzzy feeling photo shoot for me.

The day before Thanksgiving, 3 families in from out of town, with everyone all together to get some family photos taken. Such a wonderful group of people! I could have photographed them all night. It was such a special thing for me to capture the closeness this family has for one another. This is something I truly wish I could convince more families to do.

I get it…. its hard to get adults in front of the camera. “I’m too heavy. My teeth are too crooked. When I grow my hair out…” etc etc etc.

But whether or not these things are going to change in the future, this is who you are now. This is your family. And these are pictures you and your kids and your kids kids will probably cherish forever. F.O.R.E.V.E.R. Nobody is going to look at these images and say “Wow, I wish she had lost more weight before we did these pictures. I wish she had a more expensive wardrobe.”

Years from now I suspect this family is going to say, “Remember how we had no clue what to wear? Remember how I thought I looked awful? Remember how awkward we felt? Remember how cold it was outside?”

“I’M SO GLAD WE DID IT WHILE WE HAD THE CHANCE!”
